Counselling

It may become necessary to include counselling as a part of your child’s socioemotional intervention.

Counselling may be offered for both parents and learners and may involve discussing unpleasant aspects of your and your child’s life. However, it has been shown to benefit people who go through it. Counselling often leads to better relationships, solutions to specific problems and significantly reduced feelings of distress.

I’m a Licensed Educational Psychologist with over 20 years of experience in Education and over four years in Psychology. I also hold an MSc in Psychology with an emphasis in Educational Psychology and am currently pursuing my PhD in the same field. I now offer services through The Institute for Essential Care (TIFEC), which allows me to work with a cross-section of learners from early years to adult learners. In the words of George Evans, “every student can learn, just not on the same day or in the same way” this fuels my passion for creating better learning opportunities for all ages.
